Ingredients
- 1 large red onion, or 2 small red onions
- 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
Directions
- Peel and thinly slice the red onion. The thinner the slices the better. Place in a mason jar or container that can be sealed airtight.
- In a saucepan, mix the remaining ingredients. Bring to a light boil and remove from heat immediately.
- Pour the hot liquid over the onions, pushing the onions down so they are submerged in liquid. Place lid on mason jar or cover on the container.
- Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to ensure the onions are coated and liquid as made it to the bottom of the jar.
- Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour before serving.
- Will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
