Easy Pickled Red Onions

Easy Pickled Red Onions

  • 1 large red onion, or 2 small red onions
  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar

  1. Peel and thinly slice the red onion. The thinner the slices the better. Place in a mason jar or container that can be sealed airtight.
  2. In a saucepan, mix the remaining ingredients. Bring to a light boil and remove from heat immediately.
  3. Pour the hot liquid over the onions, pushing the onions down so they are submerged in liquid. Place lid on mason jar or cover on the container.
  4. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to ensure the onions are coated and liquid as made it to the bottom of the jar.
  5. Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour before serving.
  6. Will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
