Ingredients
- 3-4 medium Untiedt’s red, ripe slicing tomatoes, sliced into ¼” slices
- 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into ¼” slices
- 1 bunch fresh basil, leaves removed from the stems
- Olive oil
- Coarse sea salt
- Black pepper
- Optional: Balsamic Reduction (The brand Alessi has a great option if you would rather not make it yourself)
Directions
- On a medium platter, layer the tomatoes and mozzarella in an alternating pattern, sticking a fresh basil leaf or two between each. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with coarse sea salt and a pinch of black pepper.
If desired, add a drizzle of Balsamic Reduction over the top as well.
