Fresh Caprese Salad


  • 3-4 medium Untiedt’s red, ripe slicing tomatoes, sliced into ¼” slices
  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into ¼” slices
  • 1 bunch fresh basil, leaves removed from the stems
  • Olive oil
  • Coarse sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • Optional: Balsamic Reduction (The brand Alessi has a great option if you would rather not make it yourself)


  1. On a medium platter, layer the tomatoes and mozzarella in an alternating pattern, sticking a fresh basil leaf or two between each. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with coarse sea salt and a pinch of black pepper. 

If desired, add a drizzle of Balsamic Reduction over the top as well.
