The ultimate tailgating or pregame appetizer!
- 12 jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz. cream cheese
softened - 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 12 slices of bacon (thin slices work best)
- 24 toothpicks
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with tinfoil. Grease the foil with cooking spray or butter.
- Slice the jalapeños in half, lengthwise. Using a spoon, remove and discard all of the seeds.
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and seasonings.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
- Cut bacon slices in half, creating 24 pieces of bacon.
- Wrap each jalapeño with 1 piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
- Place the jalapeños on the baking sheet and bake for 22-25 minutes, until bacon is crisp and golden brown. Serve hot!
