Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

The ultimate tailgating or pregame appetizer!

  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slices of bacon (thin slices work best)
  • 24 toothpicks
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with tinfoil. Grease the foil with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half, lengthwise. Using a spoon, remove and discard all of the seeds.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and seasonings.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  5. Cut bacon slices in half, creating 24 pieces of bacon.
  6. Wrap each jalapeño with 1 piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
  7. Place the jalapeños on the baking sheet and bake for 22-25 minutes, until bacon is crisp and golden brown. Serve hot!
