Sweet Dumpling Squash is a small, decorative winter squash prized for its exceptionally sweet flavor, rich texture, and single-serving size. The rind features creamy white or light yellow skin covered with dark green speckles and stripes following its deep ribs.

It delivers a rich, sugary-sweet, and chestnut-like flavor, often considered sweeter than most other winter squash varieties. Like delicata squash, its thin skin softens significantly during roasting and can be eaten, though its deep ridges make peeling unnecessary.

Sold by the pound at farm stands. Typically available in September and October.
