FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What happens if animals eat my pumpkins?

We cannot be responsible if you lose some of your fall décor due to animals such as squirrels and chipmunks.

What happens if a pumpkin goes rotten?

We will replace 2 pumpkins per display if needed by allowing you to pick up the replacements at one of our Farm Stand + Greenhouses. Pumpkins can start to deteriorate in warmer weather and that is out of our control. If you need replacement beyond our standard replacement policy, we would be happy to assist in ensuring our Garden Centers have the same varieties you need replaced. What do we do with the old pumpkins?

They are fed to animals, as they offer a good source of nutrients! We also add pumpkins to our compost piles as the farm to work into the soil for next year.

How do I keep my pumpkins looking their best?

• A shady spot is better than having the pumpkins in direct sunlight.

• Keep the pumpkins as dry as possible.

• If you notice one pumpkin starting to mold, remove it so it doesn’t spread to another pumpkin.

• Should temperatures start to dip below freezing (32 degrees F), consider covering your pumpkins with a sheet to protect them from the elements.

• Consider spraying the pumpkins with a disinfectant spray such as bleach:

Mix one tablespoon of dish soap, a few teaspoons of bleach, and one gallon of water together. This helps to kill any bacteria on the surface of the pumpkin.

Can I choose the color of my mums if I add them on as extras?

Yes, we will contact you to select what color you would like added to your fall display.

Can I pick out the pumpkins used in my porch display?

No. If you are wanting specific specialty pumpkins, we can do our best to accommodate your requests, but cannot guarantee availability.
