Salsa verde in Mexico is a green salsa that uses tomatillos as its base. While many recipes recommend cooking the tomatillos, this one skips that step so you can enjoy the fresh, sharp taste of the tomatillos


  • 1/4 lb tomatillos, husks removed and diced small
  • 4 tbsp -minced red onion
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced.
    Coarse salt


  1. Combine tomatillos, onion, and jalapeno. Puree for a smooth, blended salsa.
  2. Season with salt to taste and let sit 10 min before serving.
