Roasted broccoli makes a great addition to any weeknight dinner! Once you get the hang of roasting broccoli, you can easily switch up the flavors by adding different seasonings such as garlic salt, Italian seasoning, or fresh lemon juice as well as using different types of cooking oils such as avocado oil, olive oil, or sesame oil.
Ingredients
- 1-2 heads of broccoli
cut into florets, some with longer stems - 3–5 tbsp of olive oil
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425
- Cut broccoli into florets, leaving some with longer stems
- Place the broccoli in a mixing bowl and coat with olive oil by drizzling the oil over the top of the broccoli and then toss together. Start with 3 tbsp and add up to 2 more if needed.
- Once coated, place the broccoli on a baking sheet and sprinkle with a dash of salt and pepper.
- Place in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping the broccoli halfway through. Add 5 additional minutes if you like your broccoli a bit more charred.
